Discover Ruppersthal: natural wine and cuisine at the Hanauer Hof
A special event is in store for all wine lovers and gourmets! In Ruppersthal, a charming wine region, the Loess Guide offers a unique opportunity to learn more about natural wines and taste the region's delicious products. The tour leads through picturesque cellar alleys and provides insights into the craft of viticulture.
The highlight of the visit is the Hanauer Hof, where winemaker Christoph Strell invites guests to an exciting tasting. Here participants can taste an exquisite selection of around 10 to 12 different wines. All wines are spontaneously fermented and unfiltered, using minimal sulfur. This approach ensures the unique character of the wines that Strell produces with passion.
A culinary experience
To accompany the wines, the team around “da Wirt” Solich serves a cold game buffet as well as an organic buffet, which is provided by Evis Naturkost and Bio on site. This guarantees a hearty and healthy meal at the same time. The popular Joseph bread is also on offer, which rounds off the gastronomic experience.
The wine expert Christoph Strell is highly praised by “Kalk & Kegel”, a renowned movement of sommeliers and chefs in German-speaking countries. The group describes it as the “most exciting discovery on the Wagram” and emphasizes the structure and independence of its wines. More information is in an article here to find.
As a result, the event, which is limited to 18 participants due to limited capacity, is a must for winegoers and gourmets. The price of 89 euros includes not only the tasting but also the entire culinary experience. In order to secure a place, registration is mandatory.
