Research projects on Salzburg's music history

Mozarteum Salzburg An extensive research project on music history in the Salzburg region is currently being dedicated, which focused on music manuscripts and prints that were produced in or for Salzburg before 1600. This region not only includes the medieval Archdiocese of Salzburg, but also adjacent areas, including parts of Carinthia, Styria and Lower Austria.

Project managers include Veronika Obermeier and Karina Zybina, while the management of Andrea Lindmayr-Brandl is taken over. The music analyzes are divided into different categories such as manuscripts and theoretical representations, which offers a comprehensive insight into Salzburg's music history.
