On August 26, 2025, the Mallnitz fire department went on a special trip to the Lavanttal, in which 32 participants took part. The event began in the morning under the leadership of chief organizer Hannes “Leo” Angermann and comradeship leader Michael Schmölzer. The local fire brigade commander Anda Untergantschnig warmly welcomed the participants and introduced the day.
The first highlight of the day was a breakfast together in the "village life" grief in Napplach, followed by an exciting journey to the Drau. The raft trip took place here, which formed the central element of the event. The participants were able to get to know the river landscape from a new perspective and experience the motto "on the same (s)".
Raft trip through nature
The raft ride led from Rabenstein to Unterdrauburg in Slovenia and back.
