Espelkamp - A dramatic incident shook the streets of Espelkamp on Saturday morning! An attentive witness brought a car license plate to the police station and thus triggered a chain reaction. He had found the license plate on the old Zwetschenstrasse around 7.10 a.m., and the police immediately went in search of the associated vehicle.
The investigators came across a badly damaged Toyota, which was placed on the owner address of the license plate. The 44-year-old resident promptly confessed that he had previously caused a traffic accident. An alcohol test confirmed the suspicion: the man was drunk at the wheel! A blood sample was immediately taken and his driver's license was ensured. The police now have the task of clarifying the exact course of the accident and finding out exactly where the damage to the vehicle has occurred.

The investigators found several vehicle parts in the area of Hauptstraße / Alte Zwetschenstrasse that indicate a possible accident.
