Looking for climate -friendly ideas: help shape in Josefstadt & Penzing!

Until October 10, 2025, the Viennese are called to bring their ideas to improve climate -friendly in the districts of Josefstadt and Penzing. The Viennese climate team is looking for innovative suggestions on topics such as renewable energies, circular economy, climate -friendly mobility and the design of climate agency city rooms for the fourth time. Climate Councilor Jürgen Czernohorszky emphasizes that all ideas are welcome, regardless of their size or whether they come from individuals or groups. Support for the initiative comes from Martin Fabisch, district manager of the Josefstadt, and Michaela Schüchner, district leader of Penzing, who encourage active participation.

Ideas can be online at help shape. can be submitted, but also via postcards or at events of the climate team. In the implementation, the climatic team works closely with local initiatives and clubs to achieve a broad target group. Prominent supporters such as Julian Le Play and Rosi Zapula also act as district ambassadors of the project.

Activities and events

Numerous events take place in the two districts as part of the Klimateam campaign weeks. These actions aim to collect ideas from people who may have less time or resources. In addition, the Viennese climatic team forums offer citizens the opportunity to exchange ideas directly with climate city council and the district leader. These forums take place on October 1 and 8, 2025.

According to the collection of ideas, the implementability of the feasibility by experts takes place. The ideas are further developed in project workshops, and in early summer 2026 a citizen jury decides on the implementation of the most promising suggestions. The selected projects are to be realized within three years.
