Serious accident on L204: Two cars collide head-on!
On Saturday there was a serious traffic accident in the run-up to the Messepark intersection on the L204 state road, in which two cars collided head-on. The exact cause of the accident is currently unclear, as is the exact description of the events from the accident witnesses. The collision resulted in significant vehicle damage; both cars were classified as total losses. Loud VOL.AT Three people, including a small child, suffered injuries but were able to free themselves from the vehicles before emergency services arrived.
The Dornbirn fire department was immediately alerted to secure the scene of the accident and contain the leaking liquids. The Red Cross was also on site with several vehicles and a team of eight emergency services to provide those affected as quickly as possible. Due to the accident recording and the subsequent clean-up work, the L204 had to be used in one lane during the operation, which led to significant traffic delays. In another incident on the same road, a serious traffic accident occurred when two cars collided between Mennwangen and Untersiggingen. Two women and a small child were seriously injured.
Rescue workers on a large scale
How Schwäbische.de Reportedly, rescue workers, including a rescue helicopter, were needed to care for the injured people. One of the occupants, a 68-year-old woman, was freed from her vehicle after becoming trapped. The fire department had to intervene with special equipment and cut off the roof of the accident vehicle. The 29-year-old mother and her toddler were already in the care of the emergency services. All injured people were taken to surrounding clinics after receiving emergency medical first aid. The total damage to the vehicles is estimated at around 40,000 euros; the L204 was closed until the accident was fully investigated in order to ensure the safety of the emergency services.
