The new season of the handball league Austria (HLA) starts next Wednesday, and the fans can look forward to an exciting new format. As reports [laola1.at] (https://www.laola1.at/de/Red/sport-mix/handball/hla/neuer-impuls --hla-get-spannende-Format-kl. However, the name of the competition has not yet been determined. HLA managing director Christoph Edelmüller commented on the expectations of this new competition with the aim of improving the dynamics and speed of handball.
The league acup will divide twelve teams into four regional three pools, with each pool determining a winner, which then plays for the title at the Final Four tournament. About the HLA and the HLA challenge
Another important element of the HLA is the HLA challenge, which acts as the second highest league in Austria. This league gives emerging teams the opportunity to prove themselves and possibly climb into the master league. The HLA challenge is a platform for talents and enables exciting handball at a high level. While the HLA master league focuses on the best teams in the country, the HLA challenge promotes the development of young players and competitiveness in the entire handball sport.
While the fans are waiting impatiently for the start of the season, there will be numerous opportunities in the coming weeks to support the teams and to follow exciting games live. The clubs and HLA are looking forward to an action -packed 2025/26 season.
