Tristach, Österreich - On July 5, 2025, the "Back to Boccia", which was eagerly awaited, took place in the sports field in Tristach. This event combined sporting enthusiasm and the ambition of 90 Duos, which dueled in numerous games. Overall, the games started at 12 noon after the meeting point was set at 11 a.m. Especially the athletes of SV Tristach, who emerged through their striking yellow clothes, ensured a colorful picture.

In high summer temperatures, protective measures were not too negligible - sun hats and cool drinks were ready to protect the athletes from the plump Julisonne. Each point was recorded precisely, whereby a supervisor with a meter rod made for the accurate dot allocation.

The team "Promilos", consisting of Benjamin Bürgler and Matteo Hubert, secured first place in the tournament. Martin Walter and Niklas Oberhauser took second place, who competed under the name "Dolomite Kugler". In the small final, Stefan and Andrea Frinder fought for their team for their team "What loves themselves".

This event is not the first Boccia tournament in Tristach. Such an event was already organized in 2015, where there were 76 participating teams and more than 500 Boccia games, which was a record record. The former edition of the tournament was organized by SV Dobernik Tristach and recorded the “Bad Boys” team as the winner consisting of David Bundschuh and Elias Ortner. Also played in high summer temperatures.

The past event showed that Boccia is a popular sport in the Region that inspires not only the participants, but also the audience. SV Dobernik Tristach thanked all helpers who contributed to the success of the tournament and look at the new edition of the following year.

The promotion of boccia sports and analog competitions is an elementary part of community activities in Tristach. ESK Tivoli also campaigns for the further development and organization of events and has already carried out various championships at national and international level.
