Birgit Fenderl, one of the ORF's best-known presenters, is facing a significant turning point in her career. The 53-year-old star presenter, who worked for ORF for over 31 years, has decided to end her role on the popular show “Studio 2”. Her departure will come on December 20, shortly before the show undergoes a major redesign. While Fenderl's contract was not renewed, her male colleagues Norbert Oberhauser and Martin Ferdiny remain part of the show today.at reported. In an interview, she explained that in the past she had often considered whether she should explore other career options. “It was years of internal back and forth,” she revealed. With a solid education in political science and over two decades of experience in television, Fenderl wants to work as an event presenter, media coach and keynote speaker in the future. She also wants to remove taboos from the topic of “menopause and working life” and encourages women to actively advocate for their careers. "I'm not saying never watch television again. I'm open," explained Fenderl, which raises hope for a return to the media landscape.
