Despite global tensions and economic uncertainty, an exciting survey shows that consumers are willing to open their wallets wide to get the best discounts. BlackFriday.de, in collaboration with Appinio, surveyed 1,003 people between the ages of 16 and 65 about their shopping expectations, and the results are clear!
Shopping fever: 80% of Germans plan shopping!
Black Friday is on everyone's lips! An insane 98% of respondents are aware of the sale day, and a whopping 80% plan to shop on Black Friday. The willingness to spend large sums of money is increasing. 57% of those surveyed aim for a budget between 101 and 500 euros. And watch out: 14% want to spend more than 500 euros. A year ago it was 10% - inflation plays a central role!
The hunger for bargains remains unsatisfied!
Flexibility is the motto: 89% of shoppers are willing to spend more if the offers are convincing! And while the majority are preparing specifically, many have given up impulse buying. 87% of those surveyed consciously wait for Black Friday to make larger purchases. But the geopolitical situation has a strong influence on shopping behavior! 68% of participants report that topics such as the Ukraine war or the upcoming elections in Germany influence their purchasing decisions. Pay attention to the price tags!
The survey also shows a clear trend: 28% of buyers are reducing their spending, and 22% are more consciously choosing cheaper no-name products! The desire for bargains is unbroken, even if many people are critical of political developments. Simon Gall, operator of BlackFriday.de, comments on the trend: “In uncertain times, bargains are a welcome opportunity for many people to make targeted purchases.” In any case, the shopping anticipation is huge – the countdown to Black Friday 2024 is on!
