On Friday afternoon there was an unfortunate accident in a driving technology center in Wiesing during driving safety training. Around 4:10 p.m., a 20-year-old learner drivers overlooked his driving instructor, who is 57 years old while he was driving backwards. As a result, the driving instructor fell to the ground and suffered serious injuries in the form of an ankle break. He was immediately transported by the emergency services to the Schwaz district hospital. According to the police, the incident is classified as an unfortunate mishap, whereby no guilt was determined by the learner driver.
Driving safety training has been mandatory for the B driver's license since the introduction of multi-phase training in Austria.
