Venue to venue in Büsum receives coveted prize!

A brilliant evening for the Büsum/Wesselburen neighborhood help group! On Thursday, the association from the Dithmarschen district in Berlin was awarded a coveted prize by the “next door” foundation. The jury was particularly impressed by the cross-generational projects that the association has launched. With an impressive 700 members, the neighborhood help group works to ensure that people support each other in everyday life. Werner Lucas, a committed member, expressed his enthusiasm: “We do a lot as part of our voluntary work, including providing services to our fellow citizens.”

Innovative projects against loneliness

But that's just the beginning! The neighborhood aid plans exciting new initiatives to further strengthen the community. One of the main projects, "neighborhood tables", should make it possible for members and non-members to invite each other to home to eat together or drink coffee. This not only creates new friendships, but also lively conversations. In addition, residential -dependent bus trips are planned to bring neighbors from the same area together. The German neighborhood award, endowed with 2,000 euros, is now being invested in these promising projects.

A truly inspiring example of neighborly help in action, which shows how important it is to be there for each other and to promote social contacts. The award in Berlin is not only a sign of recognition, but also an incentive for the future!
