Climbing the highest Christmas tree in Traben-Trarbach!
In Rhineland-Palatinate the lights of the pre-Christmas time shine! On Monday, November 4, 2024, the highest Christmas tree in the state was decorated in Traben-Trarbach with 7,000 sparkling lights. But that's not all that the region has to offer! From November 22nd, a new concept will be introduced at the Koblenz Christmas market: All meat and sausage products come exclusively from local providers. The city of Koblenz thus relies on regionality and sustainability to offer visitors fresh, high -quality products directly from the area. Bratwursts, shishlik and kidney goulash will spoil the palate of the guests and increase the anticipation for the festive time.
Tradition lives up again!
There is also good news in Mainz: The tradition of the All Saints' Newwelings is back! Since November 1, 2024, the popular, cone -shaped candles made of colorful wax cords have been produced again, which have been inflamed on graves since the 14th century. After a three -year break, the company for psychosocial institutions, GPA, resumed production of the candles. An important piece of culture that delights people in the region and reminds of old customs.
These lively traditions and festive activities show how Rhineland-Palatinate celebrates the anticipation for Christmas and brings together the community. Whether shining Christmas trees or regional delicacies - the pre -Christmas season has a very special shine here!
