Owingen goes online: Glass fiber expansion for fast internet started!

An exciting step in the digital revolution: The village of Owingen is the first winner in the race for lightning -fast internet! As part of the ambitious broadband funding project of the special-purpose association Bandseekreis (ZVBB), the first of ten municipalities was officially put into operation-a triumph for those who had to wait a long time for a quick connection.

Rund 24 Monate nach dem Spatenstich erstrahlt Owingen nun im Glanz des neuen Glasfasernetzes. The official commissioning at the beginning of October not only marks the end of this first section, but also sets a strong sign for the future. Teledata, the strong partner of this project, proudly reports on the support of the federal government and the state of Baden-Württemberg, who have provided funding in the millions. This will get the households from the digital Stone Age, which were once plagued by slow internet speeds!

Next challenge: gray spots

Die Freude ist groß! But Owingen is just the beginning. Managing Director Bernhard Schultes of the special -purpose association spoke enthusiastically of an "important step towards a nationwide digital infrastructure". Mayor Henrik Wengert praised the quick construction execution despite adverse weather conditions and the excellent cooperation of everyone involved. Now it is time to tackle the next phase with full vigor: The so -called "gray spots" are on the plan - households that are currently on the road with internet speeds of up to 100 Mbit/s. These should also be connected to the fast network by the end of 2025.

Die digitale Zukunft winkt und der Bodenseekreis zeigt, dass er bereit ist, die Herausforderung anzunehmen. It remains exciting how quickly other communities will follow to enjoy the high-speed internet!
