On Sunday afternoon, August 24, 2025, a tragic traffic accident occurred in Dietach in the Steyr-Land district. A car collided with the wall of a composting plant on Staningerstrasse for unknown reasons. A person died in this accident. The exact course of the incident is still being examined, while the accident recording is underway by the local emergency services. A drone of the fire brigade was even used to support the rescue measures.
The alarmed fire brigades immediately carried out rescue measures. For the duration of the rescued vehicle, Staningerstrasse near the accident site was closed for about two hours.
