In Graz and the surrounding area there are again remarkable personalities in the spotlight! The popular choice for the "Heads of 2024" by the Kleine Zeitung calls on the population to propose their favorites. This initiative aims to honor people from the region who have left a lasting impression this year through their sporting, cultural or economic achievements.
In order to take part in this election, readers are asked: Who in their opinion deserves this award and should be on the ballot? You have the option of submitting suggestions - be it via the website of the Kleine Zeitung or by post directly to the editorial team in your district. The closing date for the nominations is November 3.
How does the choice work?
A large number of suggestions have already been received, and the editorial team will select five outstanding personalities in different categories from these nominations. The categories are diverse: from voluntary and social commitment, to culture and sport to successful newcomers and business pioneers. In total, the election will include 140 impressive candidates who are available in the four regions of Upper Styria, East Südoststeiermark, West Südweststeiermark and Graz.
From November 10th to December 22nd you have the opportunity to give up your voices. This can be done both online and on paper - the ballot paper is printed several times in the regional edition of the small newspaper. The editorial team is counted, and the winners will then be announced at a solemn gala in the Styria Media Center in Graz at the beginning of next year.
This award is not only a platform to show recognition, but also promotes the sense of community and appreciation of local talents. The "heads of 2024" are a way to celebrate the diversity and ingenuity of the region.
