Serious traffic accident on B 24: Big excitement in Schneizlreuth!

On Thursday afternoon, a serious traffic accident occurred on the commuter route over the small German corner in Schneizlreuth, which resulted in several injuries. According to Krone, a 60-year-old Austrian who was traveling with a Hyundai from Lofer to Bad Reichenhall lost for previously unclear reasons to control his vehicle and got on the opposite lane. The accident occurred shortly after 4 p.m.

Several vehicles were involved in the incident. The 60-year-old initially touched an oncoming car of a 61-year-old Swiss who was able to dodge with his Mercedes but was still hit on the side of the vehicle front. The Hyundai then crashed head-on into the vehicle of a 24-year-old Austrian who drove behind the Swiss. This collision led to the 24-year-old car being pushed against another vehicle.

The 24-year-old suffered serious injuries in the accident, while the person who caused the accident and the 61-year-old Swiss only suffered slight injuries. All three injuries were immediately taken to the hospital in Bad Reichenhall to be treated there. A total of three people were injured, as was reported to the KURIER. The total damage to the vehicles involved is estimated at around 70,000 euros.

The fire brigades from Schneizlreuth and Bad Reichenhall were quickly on site to secure the scene of the accident and to tow the vehicles involved. Bundesstraße 21 was partially completely closed until after 6 p.m.
