Last weekend an exciting excursion from the state management of the Salzburg mountain rescue to the picturesque Styria took place. The journey took several hours, but the anticipation for the experiences on site made the time fly quickly.

A first highlight was the visit to the Zotter chocolate factory, where the participants not only got an insight into the art of chocolate production, but also acquired one or two sweet temptation for their families. Such regional specialties not only offer a pleasure, but are also a wonderful way to support local products.

The trip led the group along the impressive apple road, where the participants were spoiled with the sight of the idyllic landscape. Another important support was a traditional Buschenschank, known for the real Styrian snack. Here the mountain rescuers had the opportunity to try the region's rustic and tasty cuisine and strengthen themselves with regional delicacies.

Another highlight was the visit to a fruit farmer, where the participants could cost fresh fruit. Such visits not only strengthen the connection to agricultural producers, but also promote awareness of local agriculture and sustainability.

As a crowning glory, the members visited a glass blowing area, where they could look over the shoulder of the professional craftsmen. The art of glassblows is a centuries -old tradition that is worth discovering to be discovered and which also reveals a lot about the history and culture of the region.

This excursion to Styria was a successful mix of pleasure, culture and community experience for the officials and speakers of the Salzburg mountain rescue, which will certainly be remembered for a long time. Such activities not only promote team spirit, but also support the exchange with regional culture and the people who live there.
