Ofner remains the head of the supervisory board: Öbag sets the course for the future!
Vienna, Österreich - The Austrian Federal and Industrial Divides AG (ÖBAG) faces important personnel decisions. On June 6, 2025, it was announced that Günther Ofner will be reordered as head of the supervisory board. This happened in the run -up to the ÖBAG general meeting, which is scheduled for the next few months. Ofner is considered to be close to the ÖVP and thus brings a party policy dimension into the decision -making processes.
New in the management team of ÖBAG is Helene Schuberth, who will succeed Susanne Höllinger as the new Vice-Supervisory Council leader. Schuberth, a trade unionist and economist with connections to the SPÖ, will strengthen the company's supervisory bodies. In addition to the new occupations, Infineon boss Sabine Herlitschka remains on the supervisory board, while the mandates of the capital representatives Iris Ortner and Karl Ochsner are continued. Michael Höllerer's mandate is also extended.
important personnel decisions and corporate governance
The recalculated and new functions of the members of the Supervisory Board run until 2028. A central aspect in this context are the requirements of the Sharprine Act and the corporate governance standards that have to be met by members. Such standards were developed particularly by the Austrian working group for corporate governance and adapted accordingly.
The importance of these personnel decisions is also highlighted by Economic Minister Wolfgang Hattmannsdorfer, who points out that all stakeholders are included in the decision -making process. This ensures that the personal details are not only party -political, but also economically and socially balanced.
The Corporate Governance Circle of ÖBAG
As part of its efforts to improve corporate governance, ÖBAG launched the corporate governance circle in 2022. This working group consists of an expert: inside of practice and science and sets itself the goal of developing standard guidelines to improve corporate management in Austria. These guidelines should be based on international corporate governance standards and take into account the specific requirements of the ÖBAG and its participation companies. The process is described as foresight, confidential, independent and professionally.
The neutral expert: Inner round reflects the importance of gaining the best possible qualified candidate: to win inside positions. A structured, professionally managed selection process is crucial for the success of the occupation. The ÖBAG strives to make a value-pented contribution to the corporate-governance standards in Austria and thus also the trust of shareholders strengthen.
Overall, the constitution and composition of the ÖBAG supervisory board will continue to be a central topic in order to meet responsibility towards the Austrian capital market and the companies invested in it.
