New St. Klara House: Center for Education and Health in Vöcklabruck
In Vöcklabruck, it is currently being worked on the renovation of the former Bildungshaus St. Klara. This comprehensive renovation, carried out by Stia Immo GmbH, aims to create a center for various social and medical services. A special focus is on the entire planning that puts people's needs in the foreground.
Access to the new center will be via Sportplatzstrasse, where new parking spaces will also be created. What is particularly pleasing is that the playroom was opened at the beginning of the September school year. This facility, which offers space for 40 children in four groups, is operated by the Association for Franciscan Education (VfFB) and was implemented in cooperation with the municipality of Vöcklabruck. The crèche provides important early childhood care for the region's youngest children.
Medical services and social facilities
Another highlight of the project is the construction of a hospice on the ground floor of the new center, which offers eight rooms for inpatients and six places for day care for seriously ill people. This facility is operated by St. Barbara Hospiz GmbH, which already has experience with hospice facilities in Linz and Ried im Innkreis. In addition, the mobile palliative care team of the Vöcklabruck Hospice Movement will establish its office space on the second floor.
An important part of the new center is the primary medical supply center, which is set up on the first and second floor. Here, general practitioners Irina Finger, Frank Leisterer and Christoph Wiesmayr, together with their team, will create a central point of contact for health care in Vöcklabruck and the surrounding area. This will offer the residents of the region a basic medical care that goes beyond the usual level.
Office space for social institutions will be created on the third floor. The Impuls Child Protection Center will expand its offerings for the region. In addition, the “Early Help Upper Austria” coordination office of the Diakonie Zentrum Spattstrasse, which is responsible for the districts of Vöcklabruck and Gmunden, will move into the new premises. In addition, the social initiative and a psychotherapist will also be part of the new offer at St. Klara House.
This comprehensive redesign of the St. Klara house is not only a structural measure, but also a significant step towards improving the quality of life in Vöcklabruck and the surrounding area. The various facilities offer important support for families, the sick and those in need.
