The former post office shines in new splendor after renovation!
The former post office in the pedestrian zone of Wiener Straße in Wiener Neustadt shines in new splendor after extensive renovation work. Work began in June and renovations were completed in December. The city invested around 1 million euros in beautifying the building, which now houses 60 apartments and 10 commercial premises. The measures included the renovation of the facade, the replacement of the windows as well as the renewal of the electrical system and the entrance portals, such as NÖN reported.
Extensive renovations
The renovation of the former k.u.k. Posthofs was not only seen as an aesthetic improvement, but was also intended to increase living and working comfort for the population. Mayor Klaus Schneeberger, Second Vice Mayor Rainer Spenger and City Councilor Philipp Gerstenmayer emphasized that these measures would enrich life and work in the building. “As announced in June, the former post office will shine in new splendor,” said the three municipal representatives. The WN24 also reported on the positive impact the renovation will have on residents and business people.
Completing the project also included revising the staircase painting and new lighting in the inner courtyard. These extensive renovations ensure that the former post office remains both visually appealing and functional, thereby contributing to the attractiveness of the location.
