A concert for peace: International sounds at the Stupa in Grafenwörth

On Monday evening, the Grafenwörth Peace Stupa was transformed into a special sound space for an international music project. An impromptu concert by the unknown pianist known as “Stranger” took place here. The artist group, which began in the Namib Desert in 2018, has now chosen the Wagram as the new location for their musical performances.

The idea for the concert arose from the unique acoustics of the Peace Stupa, which was chosen for CD recordings. Elisabeth Lindmayer, organized by the Stupa Institute, explained: “Due to the special sound character and energy of the Peace Stupa, CD recordings took place here to create an extraordinary recording.” This project was not only intended to provide a musical experience, but also to create a special gift for the listeners.

Support and gratitude

The mayor of Grafenwörth, Alfred Riedl, who worked extensively for the construction of the stupa, was also present at the event. Lindmayer expressed her gratitude for his support, as the atmosphere of the stupa contributed significantly to the special energy of the evening, which captivated many of those present. The Peace Stupa, which is known for its calm aura, offered the perfect setting for this unique musical experience.
