Advent in Tulln: Experience festive moments and sparkling lights!

Tulln is once again transformed into a winter wonderland and invites you to celebrate the pre-Christmas season in style.

The city of Tulln delights both locals and visitors with an exciting program full of festive events. From November 22nd to December 24th, the main square becomes the center of pre-Christmas hustle and bustle with an Advent village that offers inviting variations of punch and mulled wine as well as hot chestnuts. To properly celebrate this special occasion, the opening of the Advent village will take place on Saturday, November 23rd. Mayor Mag. Peter Eisenschenk will light up the large Christmas tree for the first time and the band “Dreiklang” will provide musical entertainment.

Inviting programs for the whole family

Particular attention is paid to the smallest guests. Every Saturday in Advent, a large angel of lights will visit the city center and there will be many exciting activities for the children. On the first Saturday of Advent, November 30th, the children's choir from the Tulln Music School, the Tulln Chorinis, will sing the best Advent songs to immerse the city in a festive mood.

Children also have the opportunity to write their wish list in the Advent village and take photos with a Christmas angel. In the afternoon the band “Saxoben” will perform Christmas classics to further lift the spirits.

City Councilor for Economic Affairs Mag. Lucas Sobotka expressed his optimism about the planned activities: “I am pleased that this year we can once again contribute to making Christmas shopping in the city center even more attractive with a colorful supporting program.”

There are also entertaining concerts and creative stands in the Rosenarcade shopping center on all four Saturdays in Advent.

Cultural highlights and markets

In addition to the numerous events, a special highlight will be the traditional “Tullner Advent” concert in the Minoritenkirche on December 7th. In addition, the winter charm market in the atrium of the town hall on Saturday, December 7th and Sunday, 8th December is an integral part of the Christmas events. Regional craftsmanship and an atmospheric atmosphere are offered here, which contribute to the festivities.

For families, the Christmas fairy tale, which this year presents “Snow White and Rose Red”, is an absolute must on Friday, December 13th.
