New section commander in Voitsberg: Christian Reinisch elected!

On June 17, 2025, the election of a new section commander for fire brigade section 3 of the Voitsberg area fire brigade association took place in the Mooskirchen armory. The previous commander, Josef Pirstinger, gave up his command after 19 years after he was elected as the new Deputy Commandant. With this election, the need for a change of management in Section 3, which includes the fire brigades Gaisfeld, Hallersdorf, Köpling, Krottendorf, Ligist, Mooskirchen, Söding and Steinberg.

The election assembly, under the direction of LBDS Christian Leitgeb, was visited by 15 fire department commander and their deputies entitled to vote. Two candidates competed in a secret vote: HBI Christian Reinisch from the Söding volunteer fire brigade and HBI Mark Wibner from the Ligist fire brigade. Both candidates met the prerequisites for passive rights and were presented to those present.

The vote showed that Christian Reinisch received the majority of the votes and was thus elected new section commander. He accepted the election and expressed the desire to continue the existing cohesion in the fire brigade section. Pirstinger congratulated Reinisch and gave him the leadership, while district chief Mag. Elisabeth Kladiva and election manager Christian Leitgeb have praised the important joint work of the fire brigade in recent years.

Kladiva emphasized the exemplary structure of the fire departments in the Voitsberg district and paid tribute to Pirstinger during his long term. The election assembly was closed after 30 minutes and those present expressed their satisfaction about the course of the election.
