Matthias Mayer: New Vice President of the Carinthian Ski Association!

Bad Kleinkirchheim, Österreich - Matthias Mayer, the three-time Olympic champion and former ski racer, won the election as the new Vice President of the Carinthian Ski Association on Saturday, June 7, 2025. The annual general meeting, where the election took place, was held in Bad Kleinkirchheim. According to President Dieter Mörtl, the election was unanimous. Mayer, who is considered a figurehead of the association, has an outstanding career in alpine skiing.

The 34-year-old, who started his career in December 2005 with his first FIS race, has been able to celebrate numerous successes since then. These include three gold medals at the Olympic Games and eleven World Cup races before ending his career in December 2022.

Matthias Mayer started in the World Cup in 2011 and quickly achieved success, including his first podium in the Super-G from Kitzbühel in 2013 and his first World Cup victory in the 2014 departure.
