Club day in the Wörthersee Stadium: Free entry for Carinthian athletes!
The Advent season begins for football fans in Carinthia with a special promotion: Austria Klagenfurt invites all sports clubs in the country to free entry to the Wörthersee Stadium on December 1, 2024 at 2:30 p.m. As part of the game against WSG Tirol, players, officials, coaches and supervisors from all Carinthian sports clubs will be welcomed. This invitation is not only a thank you, but also a way to strengthen community and celebrate local sports.
Austria managing director Peer Jaekel explains: "There are so many people who are involved in the youth and amateur sectors. We are taking the match against Tyrol as an opportunity to thank all the volunteers who do great work and make a contribution to the sport in our homeland." The association would like to recognize the valuable work of the volunteers, who often work in the background, and offer them a special day.
Simple registration system
Clubs can register for the event until November 27, 2024 at 5 p.m. All you have to do is send the number of participants by email to tickets@skaustria Klagenfurt.at. One invitation for 20 active participants and five accompanying persons is available per club. The tickets will then be available for collection at the office or sent by email.
Peter Pacult, the head coach of Austria Klagenfurt, shows great respect for those who are committed to the sport. “I think it's great that our club is giving something back to these people by inviting them to the WSG game,” he explains, emphasizing that many players also started their path in sport in smaller clubs. The support and mutual exchange are also crucial for cohesion in the Carinthian sports community.
The Austria Klagenfurt team is currently in solid form and is in seventh place in the ADMIRAL Bundesliga with 15 points from eleven games. After an international break, there are crucial games against SK Rapid and Sturm Graz, in which the support of the local fans is enormously important. “It’s a great thing that Austria is inviting the players from the youth and amateur levels to a Bundesliga match and we’re looking forward to their support against Wattens,” says captain Thorsten Mahrer, looking optimistically into the future.
