initiatives to promote first aid in children

In addition to the BBK programs, there are innovative approaches to playfully bring the basics of first aid closer to children. One example is the painting and workbook "First aid for Children", which was published by the Friends and Supporters of the rescue helicopter Christoph 9 e.V. and the K&L Verlag. In this book, children learn through the history of Mario, Olivia and their Dachshund Waldi how they can react correctly in emergency situations. It deals with important topics such as burns, tick bites and poisoning and contains vivid illustrations as well as interactive tasks.

This teaching material is distributed free of charge to primary school children in the Wesel district and receives broad support from various companies. The aim is not only to inform children, but also to actively involve the process of coping with danger.

The courageous use of Niklas and Julian shows how important such knowledge is and how children can help decisively in an emergency due to the right education.
