It appears that Trump and Vance were specifically referring to Zelensky's attitude toward them. Still, it is important to note that since Russia's full-scale invasion began in February 2022, Zelensky has often thanked the United States for its support - both Trump and President Joe Biden, members of Congress from both parties, U.S. defense contractors and their employees, and the American people.
After his visit to the White House on Friday, Zelensky wrote down X: “Thank you America, thank you for your support, thank you for this visit. Thank you @POTUS, Congress and the American people. Ukraine needs a just and lasting peace, and we are working towards exactly that.”
