In a dramatic exchange of blows, the Kremlin described the reports of an alleged phone call between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin as a "pure fiction". According to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, there were no conversations in which Trump asked Putin not to escalate the war in Ukraine. "This is completely wrong.
