Since she refused to pay the fine, she will now stand up behind bars for her beliefs - a "vigil behind bars" that has already given 22 other inmates in Germany.

The Büchel military location is not an ordinary place: around 20 US atomic bombs are stored here, which are intended for use by German soldiers. This contradicts the nuclear weapon blocking contract, which Germany has also ratified. Menzel-Krämer sees her civil disobedience, the unauthorized entry of the military area, as an obligation to draw attention to the acute danger of a possible atomatic weapons. The planned "modernization" of the atomic bombs, which are to be replaced by new B61-12 bombs, is particularly alarming-a development that is intended to increase the explosive power and accuracy in order to make it "better".
