Lübeck cheers: donated 3.6 million euros for the preservation of the churches!

In an impressive act of solidarity, the fundraising campaign "Become 7-tower savings" of the non-profit Sparkassenstiftung zu Lübeck has reached its peak on November 14, 2024. After only four weeks, a sensational donation of 1,613,519.23 euros was announced. Together with the funding already promised in the amount of 2 million euros, the total total adds up to breathtaking 3,613,519.23 euros - a true triumph for the restoration of the Lübeck churches!

The campaign, which was launched on October 10, had the goal of collecting the urgently needed own funds in order to secure the federal funds of 20.5 million euros. On November 4, the original donation goal of 500,000 euros was reached and doubled by the Sparkassenstiftung. But that was just the beginning! By the end of the campaign, around 1,500 donations came together, which almost doubled the number of supporters. The Sparkassenstiftung mobilized all forces to maintain the donation flow and acquire another 613,519.23 euros.

The joy and gratitude are overwhelming! Churches, the Sparkassenstiftung, local politics and the citizens of Lübeck are enthusiastic about this collective commitment. The joint use for the preservation of the churches is a profit for the entire city.
