Hope and joy: Lions fulfill Christmas wishes in Bad Ischl
A special Christmas campaign is also being launched in Bad Ischl this year to help people in need. When handing over the donations to Mayor Ines Schiller, Lions President Andreas Wieder emphasized that the Lions are once again fully behind the initiative. In total, they have provided 30 shopping vouchers that enable the recipients to make their Christmas shopping easier. “We want to give a little hope and joy in difficult times,” continued Schiller. Citizens are invited to confidentially submit Christmas wishes to the city office by December 20th to make their dreams come true, which may be unimaginable for some.
Celebrate with a meal
In addition to the Christmas campaign, the “Mealtime” platform is planning an exciting raffle to make the holidays even more joyful. In collaboration with MeinBezirk, a total of 180 high-quality frozen main dishes will be raffled off. This campaign is intended to help people enjoy the hectic Christmas season without stress and at the same time have more time for the beautiful things in life. “Mahlzeit” is often used as a greeting in Germany, especially at lunchtime. In Austria it is said before meals and also refers to the anticipation of the meal.
The combination of these two actions, which provide support to those in need during the holidays, is of great importance. Be it through shopping vouchers for gifts or through delicious, uncomplicated meals, the anticipation of Christmas is encouraged. Those interested can find out more about the raffle on the Meal website, and the creative options the Lions have previously put forward provide hope and joy during the holiday season.
