Big raid in Goslar: Three women arrested for prostitution!
In a dramatic operation, the Goslar criminal police struck in several cities on Tuesday! In a large-scale operation, a total of ten properties in Wernigerode, Bad Harzburg, Goslar as well as in Löhne and Rödinghausen were searched. Not only were three women suspected of living illegally in Germany arrested, but cash and numerous pieces of evidence, including data storage devices, were also seized.
The investigation, which ran for months, focused on suspicions of promoting prostitution. The police had found incriminating evidence that suggested that women living illegally in Germany were being forced into prostitution in the properties they searched. At the request of the Braunschweig public prosecutor's office, search warrants were obtained and implemented today with the support of various police units and service dog handlers.
Successes in the fight against illegal prostitution
Chief Criminal Officer Alexander Uebel, head of the Central Criminal Investigation Department of the Goslar police, expressed satisfaction with the results of the searches. “Today’s search successes confirm our intensive efforts to combat the illegal promotion of prostitution, which is often carried out by women who were lured to Germany with false promises,” explained Uebel. These measures are intended not only to hold perpetrators accountable, but also to strengthen citizens' sense of security.
It remains to be seen whether further criminal action will follow after the evidence collected has been evaluated. However, the investigators are determined to take action against the illegal structures and to further shed light on the background to these criminal activities.
