Endress+Hauser is investing 100 million euros in Maulburg's future!

Endress+Hauser is investing 100 million euros in the Maulburg location, which is the largest construction project in the company's history. With this extensive investment, the company is pursuing the goal of modernizing and expanding production capacities. The Maulburg location has been closely linked to the success story of Endress+Hauser for over 60 years, and more than 2,000 employees work there in the development and production of level and pressure measurement technology.

The investment is part of the Campus 2030+ project, which is aimed at sustainable growth. Planned measures include improving production processes and expanding office space. In the first phase of the project, which is scheduled to be completed by 2027, the manufacturing and logistics areas will initially be converted. Existing buildings are replaced or renovated by new buildings. Dr. Dirk Mörmann, Managing Director of Endress+Hauser Level+Pressure, emphasizes that this project shows a clear commitment to Germany as a location and to the creation of attractive jobs.

Challenges for the industry

Peter Selders, who has been CEO of Endress+Hauser since the beginning of the year, expressed concerns about the current situation in German industry. In particular, migration abroad as well as high energy prices, bureaucracy and a shortage of skilled workers pose challenges. Despite these difficulties, Selders emphasizes the company's ties to the region and the local people. Significantly lower growth is expected for 2024 than in previous years, which underlines the urgency of investments.

The Campus 2030+ project also includes measures to increase energy efficiency. Endress+Hauser already produces up to 45 percent of the electricity required itself, primarily through solar energy and combined heat and power. The new and renovated buildings should be able to operate up to 90 percent energy self-sufficiently. In addition, the optimized logistics should reduce traffic and noise pollution.

The extensive construction measures reflect the ongoing global need for high-precision measurement technology for the process industry, which underlines the importance of the investment for the future of Endress+Hauser.
