BundID and MUK: Digital registration now even easier for Baden-Württemberg!

The digital age has now reached Baden-Württemberg! From now on, citizens can submit their applications online using the brand new BundID or the My Company Account in the state-of-the-art service portal service-bw. These digitization steps enable uncomplicated and secure registration. Digitalization Minister Thomas Strobl underlines the importance of this progress: “This increases acceptance and creates added value for our citizens!”

With the BundID, people can now easily submit online applications nationwide, while the My Business Account is specifically intended for companies. This innovative system is promoted by the new law on the digitalization of administration, which specifies the BundID and MUK as central user accounts. These accounts are intended to replace previous service accounts in the long term and ensure a consistent user experience. Minister Strobl emphasizes: “We have once again proven that we can create valuable further developments in digital service offerings for citizens in an agile and quick manner.”

Service-bw: The digital contact point

The service-bw platform, which has proven itself over the last 20 years, remains the central contact point for online applications in the country. There are currently 600 different online services available, which will be adapted to the new accounts in the near future. While the old user accounts remain available, user-friendly support is provided for new logins with BundID or My Company Account. The success numbers speak for themselves! Services such as i-Kfz and parental allowance are already extremely popular and have proven to be extremely effective.

Baden-Württemberg is setting a good example: The innovative online service i-Kfz 4 is already available in nine other federal states and shows how advanced the digital administrative services are in the state. A total of 134 registration authorities in Germany work with i-Kfz, and all registration authorities in Baden-Württemberg use this service. The future of digital administration in Baden-Württemberg has just begun!
