Historical villa by Napoleon's sister in Tuscany is for sale!
The Villa Orsucci, a historical residence in the heart of Lucchesia, is offered for sale. This impressive property was rooted in the 16th century, but was transformed into an elegant villa by the silk dealer Coriolano Orsucci in the early 18th century. The architect Filippo Juvarra, an important representative of the Italian Baroque, was significantly involved in the redesign. The preserved elements of the villa include a magnificent portal, artistic stucco decorations and two monumental paintings by Pier Dandini in the central salon.
It is particularly noteworthy that the villa in 1836 passed into the possession of Carolina Bonaparte, the younger sister of Napoleon. Carolina was not only the buyer of the later Élysée-Palastes in Paris, but was also from 1808 to 1815 together with her husband, General Joachim Murat, throne owner of Naples. The property is based on approx. 2,500 square meters of living space, spread over three levels, surrounded by a three hectare park as well as olive groves and meadows.
Extensive equipment and history
Villa includes an elegant dépendance, a fully preserved orangery from the 18th century, a picturesque chapel and two swimming pools. The region around Villa Orsucci is characterized by historical residences and picturesque olive groves that offer an idyllic ambience. Dimitri Corti, founder and CEO of Lionard Luxury Real Estate, describes the historical villas of Lucca as a worldwide unique cultural heritage. Information about the purchase price has not yet been published.
This exquisite villa, which has been lovingly restored, not only offers a unique insight into history, but also an exclusive accommodation experience. The suites in the main villa and in the adjacent farmhouse are elegantly furnished and enable a view of the centuries -old park and the private chapel. In addition, the guests have functioning marble pools available.
Attractions in the area
The area around the Villa Orsucci offers many sights, including the city of Lucca with its impressive city wall and hidden gardens, as well as the famous cities of Pisa and Florence. The wine regions of the Versilia are also nearby and invite you to explore. A stay in this historical property not only promises comfort, but also a harmonious experience in the middle of silence and beauty.
Another important building associated with Bonapartes is the Villa Paolina in Viareggio, which is known as the "sanctuary of Venus". This villa was built around the middle of the 19th century by Paulina Bonaparte, another sister of Napoleon, and is considered her last home. It shows impressions of Paulina's fine taste in the furnishings and plant composition and also offers a retreat, apart from the Parisian.
