Burkhardt GmbH delivers 500th combined heat and power plant

Mühlhausen, Bavaria-Burkhardt GmbH made its 500th combined heat and power plant (CHP) with a 6-cylinder engine. The system goes to a customer in Japan and is part of an extensive large order over a total of 22 systems. In combination with the company's own wood carburetic V 3.90 S, the Agregat 190 kW generates electrical and 305 kW thermal output. The electricity generated is fed into the public network.
In the future, the total output of the project will amount to 3.96 MW electrically and 6.38 MW thermal - an important contribution to decentralized energy supply in Japan.
Burkhardt GmbH is now one of the leading providers of combined heat and power plants in Europe, especially in the area of wood gas use.
