Sutte 17 in Bamberg: Historical monument is being extensively renovated!

In Bamberg, the individual monument “Sutte 17” is undergoing extensive general renovation! The Bamberg World Heritage Foundation acquired the historic building, which once served as an “emergency shelter for transients,” last year. Now the dilapidated building, which has stood empty for years, is being saved from impending decay. A real stroke of luck for the city!

The impressive corner building from the 18th century extends over two floors and offers around 120 square meters of living space. There is also a small garden of around 50 square meters, which is also to be revitalized. The basic investigations and preliminary and draft planning are currently in full swing. Stadtbau GmbH Bamberg will supervise the work and also take over future leasing.

Financing plan in progress

A detailed financing plan is drawn up in order to apply for possible funding. After construction work is completed, the rent will be based on the Bamberg rent index. The renovation of “Sutte 17” is not only an important step towards preserving the cultural heritage, but also a sign of the future of living space in Bamberg. History comes alive here!
