FDP reveals plans for 2025: Freedom, innovation and education in focus!
On January 11, 2025, the traditional Epiphany Festival of the Free Democrats (FDP) took place in the Parkhotel Landau. Around 100 members and supporters of the FDP gathered for this important political event to start the election year 2025.
The party's prominent heads were one of the speakers. Andy Becht, the district chairman Palatinate and State Secretary in the Ministry of Economics, Transport, Agriculture and Viticulture, spoke about the central importance of freedom as the basic value of liberal politics and referred to the "Karlsruhe Freedom Thresen". Nikolas Palmarini, district chairman of the FDP Landau and Southern Wine Route, emphasized the party's commitment in the upcoming election campaigns and called for the spread of liberal values.

Ralf Stüber, the FDP Bundestag candidate for the Südpfalz at Listenplatz 3, addressed economic policy and innovation. He put the motto "Innovation Made in Germany" in the foreground and called for a reduction in bureaucracy to strengthen Germany. Mario Brandenburg, FDP member of the Bundestag and Parliamentary State Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, emphasized the importance of education and technology for the future of Germany. In addition, he announced that he no longer run for the Bundestag election, but continues to be active in the election campaign.
The FDP honored the merits of Brandenburg in Landau and confessed to the goals of freedom, innovation and equality of opportunities for 2025. The goal of the party is a strong representation of liberal values in the upcoming election year.
On January 6, 2025, the Epiphany meeting of the FDP took place in Stuttgart at the same time. Party chief Christian Lindner emphasized the need for a change of policy, while the current survey values of the FDP were 3-4%. Lindner is aiming for a double -digit election result for the next election. The young liberals (Julis) were on site and distributed balloons with demands such as "less tax" and "more freedom".

The focus was on discussions about the economic situation and approval of market economy solutions. Lindner called for an alliance with CDU/CSU and expressed criticism of their adaptability in coalitions. However, current surveys show no support for a black and yellow alliance. FDP general secretary Marco Buschmann called for the trend reversal, while the campaign slogan of the FDP "Everything can be changed" is. The focus is now on Lindner as party leader, seven weeks before the Bundestag election.
