Huawei starts revolutionary path to AI data centers in Shanghai!

This opened on September 20, 2025 Huawei Connect 2025 in the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center. This important event, which revolves around the topic of "all intelligence", brings together over 500 managers, technical experts and ecosystem partners from the global data center industry. The focus is on the evolutionary role of artificial intelligence (AI) and its integration into strategic, technological and ecological dimensions.

It was particularly noteworthy Data Center Infrastructure Summit, which was organized by Huawei Digital Power. Environmentally friendly digital infrastructure solutions were presented here, which are of central importance in view of the climate change and the need for a low -carbon economy. The participants discussed the challenges and opportunities that result from access and integration of intelligent infrastructures.

Successful stories and AI data centers

Bob He, Vice President of Huawei Digital Power, emphasized the increasing need for AI data centers as "computing factories". This underlines the importance of simplification of conversion connections and innovations in the power supply architecture. In this context there is also heat management, which is to be optimized by a hybrid architecture with adaptable air-fluid ratio.

Steve Kim, President for data center facilities at Huawei Digital Power, presented forecasts that the capacity of new AI data centers will increase to 112 GW over the next five years. In order to meet this growing demand, Huawei suggests the KI data center construction guideline RAS, which addresses the challenges in relation to security, provision, IT development and energy consumption.

The White Paper analyzes specific challenges such as cooling, power supply and distribution as well as load -bearing capacity. The aim is to set up a robust basis for intelligent computing with more computing power per watt.

Market developments in Germany

In parallel to these global developments, a study of Deloitte that the need for AI data centers in Germany could increase sharply over the next five years, from currently 1.6 GW to 4.8 GW. However, German companies suffer from a gap in capacity, which is expected to increase until the end of the decade. The vacancy rates of data centers are currently illuminating the missing capacities.

Due to the high destinations, investments of up to 60 billion euros are in the room by 2030 in order to meet the requirements of the market. Germany has to consider how active it wants to be in global competition for data centers. Specifically, this requires government support to reduce project risks and promote public-private partnerships.

Overall, Huawei aims to promote a more environmentally friendly future and innovative solutions in the field of AI data centers for intelligent transformation with its initiatives and the shared knowledge at Huawein Connect.
