On July 10, 2025, an exclusive Samsung “Galaxy Unpacked” event took place at the Kunsthalle Wien, where the latest foldable smartphones and smartwatches were presented. Around 130 guests, including business partners, media representatives and influencers, were present to experience the innovative products. The global presentations also took place in Brooklyn, New York, underscoring the importance of the event. A total of three new foldable smartphones were presented: theGalaxy Z Fold 7, theGalaxy Z Flip 7and the Fan Edition of the Z Flip 7. ThisGalaxy Z Fold 7weighs 215 grams and impresses with an ultra-thin design that is comparable to the Galaxy S25 Ultra when folded. Its display has been widened and supports a multi-window function for up to three windows. With a 200 MP wide-angle camera on the back and a 10 MP wide-angle camera for the main display, it sets new standards in smartphone photography. In addition, AI-supported image processing ensures high-quality images, even in poor lighting conditions. GSMArena adds that there was also speculation about a possible Ultra model of the foldable during the event, but this was not presented.
News about the Galaxy Flip models
TheGalaxy Z Flip 7weighs 188 grams and offers a wider display than previous models, so it fits in most pockets. Particularly noteworthy is the new FlexWindow5, which allows operation via widgets without opening the device.
