Hcltech awards USD 1 million of NGOs for climate protection projects!
Petaluma, Kalifornien, USA - On June 5, 2025, Hcltech announced the winners of the Hcltech Climate Action Grant in America. OSA Conservation received the main prize of $ 500,000, while Daily Acts and Ocean Wise were awarded 250,000 USD each. A total of 1 million USD is awarded from this program of three non -governmental organizations (NGOs) that are committed to climate protection and environmental protection. This award represents another milestone in Hcltech's CSR initiatives, which has provided a total of 5 million USD for similar projects in the first five years since 2023.
This year the number of applications for the grant increased by more than 70 % compared to the previous year. This number is supported by an increase in registrations of around 34 % from ten participants who are entitled to participate: Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama, Peru and the USA. OSA Conservation plans to use the funding for an innovative project called "Climate Lifeboat Corridors" that aims to support species migration in view of climate change.
funding projects and their goals
Daily Acts, on the other hand, will use the funds obtained to strengthen climate silence within the municipality in Petaluma, California. Ocean Wise, the third winner, has set itself the goal of restoring Kelp forests on the Pacific coast of Canada in order to promote biodiversity and use the positive effects of such ecosystems.
The commitment of Hcltech in the areas of environmental protection and sustainable management has already borne fruits: the company was awarded "Industry Mover" in S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2023 for its sustainable business practices. In addition, Hcltech has so far invested over 175 million USD in CSR programs, which underlines the relevance and the positive influence of the company initiatives.
global challenges and local solutions
The Hcltech Climate Action Grant Program is part of a broader movement to support sustainable projects worldwide. In this context, the international climate protection initiative (IKI) is an example that shows how smaller organizations can be specifically promoted. The IKI Small Grants program, which is funded by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK) and the Federal Foreign Office (AA), is committed to developing suitable measures by NGOs and regional organizations to achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement and the Convention on the Biodiversity. This illustrates the need for strong cooperation at a global and local level.
Overall, the allocation of the Hcltech Climate Action Grants in America shows how important it is to support NGOs who actively work for climate protection. Such initiatives can achieve not only local communities, but also global goals in order to counter the challenges of climate change.
