Olivia Rodrigo remembers the nightmoment on stage

Olivia Rodrigo has an impressive world tour that she describes as very entertaining - despite an accident that made headlines.

a fall that caused a stir

During a recent appearance on the show "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon", the topic was raised that Rodrigo "mastered it like a professional athlete" after she had fallen through a hole on stage during a appearance in Melbourne, Australia. Fallon then showed the video of the fall.

Rodrigo remains calm

"Oh my god, that was funny! I'm fine! Sometimes there is just a hole on stage. That is okay," said Rodrigo with a smile to her audience. After demonstrating the video she beamed and even had to laugh a little.

a moment of fright

"It was really scary", confessed Rodrigo. "Seeing the video is quite frightening. But the show has to go on, it works in the show business."

a deeper meaning behind the accident

she found it a "actually a nice thing" that happened. Rodrigo, who has Filipino roots, remembered that she had previously visited the Philippines. "I thought of my family, my legacy and my relatives, and when I fell, I was completely through the wind," she said. "I went to the hospital afterwards. It was nothing bad, they just wanted to make sure that I had no potenta trauma."

a touching meeting

The male nurse who helped her in the hospital was also a Philippine and happened to have the same name as her grandfather, who died a few months earlier. "Then I thought, Wow, that was [her grandfather] who took care of me," she said. "He wanted to make sure that nothing happened to me and I'm really glad that it happened. I think it's a wonderful story."
