Cinema, love and secrets: Bergmann opens Nidda exquisite!
On Friday, January 17th, Emanuel Bergmann opens the new season of »Nidda erlesen«. The event takes place in the Parksaal Bad Salzhausen and starts at 8 p.m. As part of the reading, Bergmann will present his novel “Tahara,” which deals with themes such as cinema, love and secrets.
The plot of "Tahara" follows the film critic Marcel Klein, who meets the Frenchwoman Héloïse at the Cannes festival. A passionate but conflict-ridden relationship develops between the two. While Marcel is a sought-after interviewee in the film business and has encounters with celebrities such as John Travolta and Steven Spielberg, his relationship with Héloïse leads him to question the superficiality of the film industry. Both protagonists hide their own secrets, which are discussed throughout the story.
About the author and the event
Bergmann has worked in the film business in Los Angeles in the past, which gives him in-depth knowledge of the subject. The novel not only contains linguistic clichés and film quotes, but also includes allusions to cinema. The reading will be moderated by Martin Guth, head of the cultural department.
Tickets for the event are available in advance via Reservix and from the Nidda City Citizens Service, such as fnp.de reported.
