The 33-year-old woman was hit on a bicycle and footpath next to federal highway 14 when the driver of the military vehicle left the road. The driver, a U.S. military member, was uninjured in the incident.
According to initial investigations, the driver left the road to the right in the morning, drove over a grass verge and then reached the footpath where the woman was. The collision occurred after the vehicle traveled approximately 100 meters on the bicycle and pedestrian path. Although the injured person received immediate medical treatment, she later succumbed to her injuries in hospital.
