A tragic incident occurred on the A3 motorway near Marktheidenfeld. During a serious accident on January 11th, a 25-year-old driver of a small van lost his life after an impact with a truck. The unfortunate man was literally crushed when his vehicle was pushed onto a slow heavy transport, which was secured by an accompanying vehicle. According to the police, the 25-year-old drove towards Frankfurt when the subsequent truck overlooked slow traffic and, almost unchecked, crashed into the van. The driver of the truck only suffered minor injuries, while the driver of the heavy transport was unharmed. The accident happened between the Marktheidenfeld and Rohrbrunn junctions at 10:45 p.m., and the A3 had to be completely blocked in the direction of Frankfurt until the morning of the following day, such as Wasserburg24.de reported.
