Exercise for body and soul: Boho Studio offers bargains!

Boho Studio in Dornbirn enables individual movement experiences that strengthen both body and mind. The studio has set itself the goal of positioning exercise as an essential balance in hectic everyday life. Boho Studio is currently offering an attractive block of 5 for all courses at a price of 45 euros instead of the regular 90 euros. The varied range of courses includes stretching, barre, dancing, functional training and the specially developed training concept “Lavela”.

“Lavela”, which was created by Valentina Baldauf in collaboration with various experts, reflects her personal movement journey. Baldauf began her career with ballet and rhythmic gymnastics before suffering a serious training accident at the age of 16 in which she broke three cervical vertebrae and was temporarily paralyzed. After a long recovery process, she fought her way back and finally took part in the 2007 World Championships in Patras. She would like to use these experiences to encourage other people to believe in themselves and allow for change.

Therapeutic movement in focus

The importance of exercise is becoming increasingly important not only in leisure activities, but also in therapy. Sports and exercise therapy is a structured form of exercise promotion that is based on medical diagnoses. This therapy is carried out by qualified therapists, with individual factors and evidence playing a key role. The aim is to address health problems on a biological, psychological and social level and to sustainably promote an active lifestyle.

The therapy aims to improve the patient's action and social skills and to achieve behavior stabilization or change. By integrating medical, training science, educational-psychological and sociotherapeutic elements, a comprehensive understanding of the patients' needs is created. Key target areas include restoring and strengthening bodily functions, reducing impairments and promoting participation skills.

Interdisciplinary approaches and phases of therapy

Sports and exercise therapy takes place in three clearly defined phases: conception, implementation and evaluation. This structured approach ensures that each step of the therapy is precisely planned, carried out and then evaluated. The ICF (International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health) serves as the basis and evidence for the various therapeutic approaches.

Sports and exercise therapy closes a crucial gap in healthcare provision. It helps patients gain independence in everyday life and leads to a feeling of social support and control over their own health. The integration of motor skills and long-term motivation are also central components of this form of therapy, which are based on the WHO's biopsychosocial approach and thus take physical, individual and social dimensions of health into account.

Overall, it shows that exercise can not only be a leisure activity, but also an effective means of promoting health. Whether in a boho studio or as part of therapeutic measures, the combination of movement and a holistic approach enables people to realize their full potential.
