Pirates Velden once again conquer the Carinthian championship title for the U10!
On September 4th, 2025, the USC Pirates Velden will celebrate an outstanding success in Carinthia's youth sports landscape. The U10 team was able to successfully defend the Carinthian championship title, which is seen as proof of the remarkable performance and team spirit of the young players. This outstanding achievement does not stand alone; The U12 team, which competes in a syndicate with EHC Spittal, also secured the national championship title in the U12 championship. Those responsible consider the joint effort of both clubs to be very successful. Mayor Ferdinand Vouk as well as sports officer Helmut Steiner and finance officer Dr. Margit Heissenberger congratulated the successful ones.

Successes in the youth sector
The final decisions of the 2024/25 season in the women's and youth divisions were also announced. In the women's championship, the Wildcats Paternion took the gold medal while the Lady Hawks received the silver medal. The Wildcats won the best-of-three series 2-0, with the first game ending in overtime 3-2 and the second game ending 6-2. Nicole Stromberger was named “Cat of the Game”.
There were also significant results in the youth sector. 14 teams took part in the U10 “Lions Cup” and the Velden Pirates took first place ahead of 1. EHC Althofen. In the U12, the Velden/Spittal syndicate triumphed over UEC Lienz with an impressive 19:7. The U12 team won 25 of 26 games under the leadership of coach Philip Siutz. The Spittal Ultra Stars secured the championship title in the U14 age group with an 8:3 win against 1. EHC Althofen.
