Two children set fire: Arson in Eggersdorf causes excitement!
In a frightening incident in Eggersdorf near Graz, two underage boys caused a fire that broke out on the canopy of the cultural hall last Saturday. According to the Styria State Police Directorate the two minors, aged 12 and 13, confessed. They admitted that they regularly experimented with fire and spray paint out of boredom, which ultimately resulted in the devastating fire.
The Eggersdorf police station carried out extensive investigations that confirmed the suspicions against the two children. The boys and their legal guardians have now been questioned about the incidents. It turned out that they mistakenly assumed that they had put out the fire when they left the scene. The amount of damage is currently unknown, but a report will now be filed against the minors with the Graz public prosecutor's office steiermark.ORF.at reported.
This case raises worrying questions about the consequences of young people's actions, particularly when it comes to dealing with fire. While the investigation continues, it remains to be seen what legal action prosecutors will take.
