Sport Austria Finals in Innsbruck: a festival of movement and medals!

Innsbruck, Österreich - The Sport Austria Finals 2025 take place in Innsbruck and Tyrol. The opening ceremony is planned for Wednesday evening, June 18, in front of the Tyrolean Landestheater. Popstar Rian will perform on the main stage and perform hits like "kinship". Following the concert, visitors can expect an Ö3 disco in the open air. The event extends from Thursday to Sunday and offers the opportunity to experience the athlete: up close on the inside. A total of over 6,500 athletes will fight for state championship titles in 37 different sports.

Around 250 medal decisions will be on the program in the course of the event. The organizers, including the ASKÖ, the ASVÖ and the sports union, offer the audience: free admission to all competitions and the supporting program inside. The President of Sport Austria, Hans Niessl, emphasizes the importance of this event, which is supposed to give small sports a large stage. The aim is to bring many people into contact with sports and celebrate a festival of sport.

Various sports offer and supporting program

The Sport Austria Finals offer a wide range of sports, including climbing, cross-triathlon, cheerleading, taekwondo, boccia, skateboard, softball, open water swimming as well as kick and Thai boxing. The competitions take place at a total of 25 locations in Innsbruck and the surrounding area, including the Olympiaworld, the Innsbruck climbing center, the Tivoli outdoor pool and many more.

In addition to the competition, there is a colorful supporting program on the Landestheater forecourt. Mini-Golf, Bob and Skeleton Association as well as the Decathlon Mitacht Days on Friday and Saturday (June 20th) offer a movement zone for young and old. Here visitors can become active: in various activities such as mini table tennis, ninja parkour, spike ball and climbing with professionals.

Support for the sports infrastructure

Sport Austria Finals are part of a larger plan of the 2020-2024 government program, which aims to support international sports events in Austria. This initiative emphasizes the cooperation with federal states and sports associations in order to strengthen Austria's role as a host country. In addition, financial resources are defined and the development of sustainable sports infrastructures is promoted. The effects on the development of sports and the chances of success of Austrian athletes are also the focus.
